The battery operated suction - should have a cover over the button to turn it on/off. If it happens to push up against something inside your bag, it will turn on. Although it’s not alarming to me, especially with airport travel it might be alarming to a TSA agent or someone next to you.
These bags are exactly what I needed since I refuse to check my luggage. I’m able to fit more and take everything I need. Great product and works exactly as advertised!
Haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet, but the trial run was a success! Easy to use and seems to work as advertised. Will post after my next October trip!
Purchased for an overseas trip to replace zippered compression packs. 100% impressed with the water proof material of the sack. I was able to fit my 10 day wardrobe in one pack, lots of room for my pharmacy and shoes in a medium suitcase. Quick and easy to compress with the hand held vacuum and easy to stuff with the large opening. Entirely impressed with the whole system. A useful system for packing and travel.
I am on an airplane 1-2 per week on average and these Diary of a CEO vacuum kit pros are PHENOMENAL. I’m currently on the road for 3 weeks with only carry on and have so many more options with me. I got two for my roll-on. Love them, thank you for creating these!
My husband is a chronic over packer. We recently took a 6 day trip, packed two oitfits per day and yet were able to fly without checking a bag. He was so impressed with the bags and equally proud of himself for being able to travel so lightly.
These things feel durable the moment you take them out of the packaging. The lil vacuum piece that came with the bags fit perfectly against the hole it goes into so there is no need to hold onto the device as it sucks all the air out which is considerable. I have one of those "non-wrinkle" suits (2 dress shirts, dress pants and jacket, 2 ties and 1 pair of socks) that you can pack and fold which was successfully packed into my suitcase with a lot of room to spare. It's money worth spending.
Love the product but opening them for the first time was near impossible. I don’t how anyone with little strength could ever open them. I had to consult utube to understand how to open the bags. I spent 25 minutes trying to figure it out, you’re going to get many returns because of this.
Great product! Works great. As a pilot for a large private aviation company, I sometimes have week or more long trips. The travel packs worked great. I think they could offer half sized packs that would work better. Still bulk out the same space but contain one type of clothing. The large bags are great but I found myself digging things out as everything was in one or two bags.
The kit turned my clothes into what appeared like dried up fishes leaving so much room in my carry on bag. There’s so much room they’re jiggling around.

Easy to use but I think it’s too heavy coz weight counts a lot when you travel . I know it’s water proof but because of the thickness and not enough room for a thick coat , I didn’t give 5/5
I am a very frequent international traveler who has tried everything on the market. I rarely check luggage so compression bags have been my go to for a long time.
I finally broke down and bought these and all I can say is wow! These bags are amazing! I’ve been on one trip so far but have a few long ones coming up and am excited to see how these hold up. They are a great product!
I’ve tried a number of vacuum compression packing cubes. Some are worthless. Some you have to fight to first get it open, then cram stuff in, struggle to get them re-zipped, then the compression only last a couple of hours. The vacuum pump works like a charm. And they stay compressed until you open them. Meanwhile, you can pack 3 to 4 times an many items as would normally fit in a carry on bag. I’m sold. They work. They’re worth every dime.

My first bag wouldn’t stay compressed, I contacted customer support and after sending a video to show the problem a new one was dispatched straight away and I received it the next day. I now have a bag which stays compressed and can’t wait to use it on my next trip. Thank you to Paola for sorting it out so quickly!
Full disclosure - I’ve only used this once, but I actually used it at the same time I used the original vacuum kit, which allowed me to see how much improved this new version is.
Having the sides built up in a rectangular shape makes it easier to load and compress more evenly. The side zipper makes the kit easier to load and unload. It would be cool if the zipper covered even more space to open wider.
The handle is nice-to-have if you want to move the bag from suitcase to another location.
I like the on off toggle of the mini air compressor as opposed to the push button of the prior version (I almost always have to click that one multiple times to shut it off).
Overall I’m super happy with the improvements made with this product. I bought the older versions just last year and used on a two week trip to Europe with a carry-on and backpack and it worked well, but excited to continue using the 1% DOAC bag on future travels.
The vacuum bags are great and work well. The only concern is with packing the actual vacuum canister - there should be some sort of cover to prevent the on/off button from getting engaged when packed in a suitcase. I had already disposed of the package it came it so now I have to figure out how else to prevent it from turning on accidentally while packed in a suitcase.
I always travel with a hand carry only (99% of the time). I always manage to squeeze everything in my small trolley, even for a 2-week trip. With Ekster, I can now squeeze even more! The only downside is that my bag is heavier. But 95%-97% of the time nobody weighs my luggage so works very well for me ☺️ I receive 2 pouches as a gift which I used on our recent trip to Maldives/Dubai. I bought 4 more for future trips. I travel a lot, and always travels light 😉
once you figure out how to get the travelpack open, and yes you warned me it was hard the first time, it does exactly as promised. it might be easier to pack things into the travelpack if the zipper were along a long edge but that might be a manufacturing/ vacuum preservation challenge.
