7 Reasons Why to buy an Ekster®

Olivier Momma - 14th of February 2019

Everyone loses valuables and time after time wallets still seem to be the one item people can’t avoid losing track of.
Of course with Ekster’s trackable wallet feature it’s likely you never lose your wallet again, but even in the event you do accidently leave your wallet behind, you can quickly locate where it’s at thanks to being supported by a crowd GPS tracker. Still there are some other efforts you can take to prevent yourself the trauma of losing one of your most sensitive items. The following are five things you can do to ensure safekeeping of your everyday carry items, especially your wallet.

1) Carry only what you actually need.

This sounds rather simple but with the amount of unnecessary clutter people bring with them on their daily commutes, it’s worth stressing again. In the case of wallets, you would be surprised how many people carry their social security cards and bank account information with them each day. If those two items ended up in the hands of the wrong person, it would easily turn into an identity theft disaster. A better approach is to regularly go through your wallet and remove every piece of paper or plastic that you don’t need to use on your average day.

No nuts, no glory!

2) Don’t put your wallet in your back pocket.

Another thing a lot of guys still do is keep their wallets in their back pocket. A wallet in a back pocket has always been a boon for thieves. Whether you are traveling aboard, where tourists are always targeted, or on a crowded train, having your wallet in your front pocket can virtually eliminate any possibility of being pickpocketed. It may feel awkward at first, but after a few days of your wallet being in your front pocket, you really won’t notice much of a difference. It’s just muscle memory that keeps you reaching for the back pocket and that will eventually go away.

Imagination is more important than knowledge

3) Periodically test your tracking.

If you have an Ekster wallet with Bluetooth tracker, it’s a good idea to test it periodically. If you are doing regularly checks, you are ensuring the card battery has juice and also prepared to track it in the event you lose it. Many times people will go into a state of shock when they realize their wallet is missing. If you do regular testing that state of shock won’t be such a blow to you since you already know how the tracking procedure works. Either way, having a built-in lost wallet finder safety net to back you up is something that already puts you in a secure position.

There is no good or bad, just the one you like best.
