I currently own a Parliament 2.0 and use it religiously. It is, without a doubt, the best wallet I have ever owned...but now I want to take my father's gift as my own!
The leather is a warm and rich colour - even new! - and the leather flap and backing have been reinforced to create a durable cover to the wallet's innards. The wallet has been otherwise untouched from it's 2.0 variant and that is a good thing indeed. The card exposure button is as smooth as mine (a testament to the design's longevity) and it feels (and smells) so nice in the hand.
I have two critical points of the wallet. It will be thicker in one's pocket than about 80% of the currently available wallets. This is unavoidable but can be partially solved by checking out the Senate - a Parliament without the flap or backing. The second point is with what could be considered its' main selling point - the ejection mechanism. The button when broken renders the entire mechanism useless. Going to the construction site with the wallet? Leave it in the locker!
This is an excellent gift for the man or woman who likes nice things while also having great utility. This wallet would pair quite nicely with a matching belt or an existing one. Don't be fooled - this wallet is not only for the "luxury" types; it merely makes anyone lucky enough to have it feel a little more classy.
